MTA Reisterstown Metro Station
Two roof replacement projects at Reisterstown Plaza Metro Station in Baltimore, MD.
VAAB has participated in several projects at this station.
The 2017 project involved a renovation of the existing roof at the Reisterstown Plaza Substation. The two roof levels were at the end of their lifecycle, with a lack of appropriate slopes for sufficient drainage and a general drainage system.
The project included replacing the roof with a white Cold Applied Modified Bitumen Membrane roofing system, and augmenting existing roof slopes, raising curbs and parapets, improving the drainage system, and providing roof access by adding steel ladders connecting all levels.
The 2020 project features renovation of the existing canopy roof above the station platform. VAAB is currently working on the replacement of the old built-up roof with advanced white PVC roof and replacing the outdated skylight with a new laminated glass skylight.
